Some time ago I stumbled on a motif when studding M.C. Escher. When looking at Curvilinear perspective and mimicking the geometry, I come upon with motif webbing. This inspired me to explore this motif and to explore some of the possibilities.
This drawing above is the first drawing I did exploring the motif. The drawing was finished some about in the early 2000s.
Later I trained another approach to the motif; adding more vanishing points and making a flower or star structure. It occurred to me to try making something more radial rather than mirror symmetry.
Eventually I did another with asymmetry and some chaos to see how it can look.
As time go on I am planning on making some more of these, in addition some other traditional motifs.
