At the ocean of Fragments

You wake up and find out that there is no light, it is pitch-black. You do not know how you got here and as you think hard you began to just to realize you do not even know who you are or where you’re at. Did you get your head hit hard and lost all of your memory from amnesia? The place is very quiet so quiet that you can hear your own heart beat. But then the beat of your heart gets interrupted by the sound of waves washing on the shore. The waves are calm and quiet as if you’re near a lake. It’s relaxing, yet unnerving as you still do not know were you are. You wonder why it is dark and yet you can not see any stars. It may be cloudy yet it is not windy not even a gentle breeze. Then some light comes out of nowhere. Something strange is coming for you, the light gets more pronounced and it looks horrific. It looks big and the waves are illuminated and the sand you sit on is black as coals. The light is advancing towards you. As the lights come close, you look for bushes to hide in, but only find rocks that point up like cones. It then hits you, and hits you in a claustrophobic terror, those are stalagmites and you are in a cavern. You find the moving lights are the head lamps of a ship and it stops where it can on the shallow shores.

This is an illustration of the Ocean of Fragments from the world of darkness. An ocean in the underworld.
